For the first time in program history, the Baylor Bears are the top-ranked college basketball team in the country. Scott Drew’s team secured the honor by knocking off Iowa State and Oklahoma State in the same week that Villanova was upset by Butler.

Baylor, which received 55 of the possible 65 first-place votes from the Associated Press, becomes the fourth different team to be ranked No. 1 this season, joining Duke, Kentucky, and ‘Nova.

Kansas, which received eight first-place votes, jumped a spot from No. 3 to No. 2. The other two first-place votes went to Villanova and UCLA, which check in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
