Ben McAdoo says reports of Giants trashing plane are ‘bullshit’
Despite reports to the contrary, McAdoo insists it wasn’t his players.
During a radio appearance with Mike Francesa of WFAN on Wednesday, New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo made it clear that reports of his players trashing a plane on the way back from the wild card loss to the Packers were false.
On Monday morning, a United Airlines flight from Newark, New Jersey to London was delayed while the flight crew cleaned up the first class cabin. The plane was reportedly the one that carried Giants players back to the East Coast after the devastating 38-13 loss to the Packers in Green Bay.
McAdoo, however, said the reports are untrue.
“No, that’s bullshit, Mike,” McAdoo said.
That wasn’t the only controversy to emerge after New York’s loss on Sunday. Responding to reports that receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had punched a hole in a wall following the loss, McAdoo said he understood the emotion behind it, but Beckham needed to remain in control.
